Nayu's thoughts
A puddle isn't just a bit of water, it's so much more! I love how this book explores the imagination that gets triggered by puddles, with lots of different scenarios, mostly positive with the odd scary one. The evil creature near the end made me laugh because it's a classic creature and, well, it has to be read to be understood! Together and alone the children discover different worlds in puddles which introduces the reader to different environments.

I loved the unicorn mermaid at the front of the pirate ship, the cuteness of the animals around the puddles, and the not knowing of what will be on the next page. Definitely a must read on rainy days and dry ones! Readers will have fun imagining what else could be in puddles. I did like that some puddles are super deep, which could be extrapolated to mean people shouldn't jump into a body of water whose depth is unknown, at least that's what I thought. Puddles in pavement are ok, big lake puddles not so much.
