Nayu's thoughts 

As you can tell from both the title and the cover, this is a book which will make you laugh. I laughed more than expected because the way the reader interacts with the dinosaur are highly inventive. Yes I did follow the instructions! I think that besides making readers of all ages smile it makes them think how doing an action always has a consequence/reaction, if that makes sense. The bright bold illustrations add to the humorous nature of the story, and I'm sure this will be a much requested read for younger readers.

Nayu's News #189 A few medium sized blog changes

Time to let you know about a few blog changes which are kind of important but won't affect the blog content very much. 

Firstly I finished my day job on Tuesday so I'm now 100% working from home as a writer and crochet artist. Whoohoo! This means I have a bit more time to spend on blogging. A bit in so far as for every future book reviewed on NRC I will post reviews on Amazon UK, Amazon US, GoodReads and Foyles. Over time I'll add older reviews to these sites too.

I may end up putting reviews on other sites too, which is related to the change I've mentioned in the past. I'm starting up with an affiliate program initially with just Foyles but hopefully other sites too (really want to be an Audible affiliate but will wait and see). All it means is at the end of reviews there will be a link to purchase the book which currently includes a notice saying it's an affiliation. Hopefully over time when I come to understand more about being an affiliate (there's so much to do it's a tad overwhelming) there may be more promotions, but for now it's simple and unintrusive. I hope.

Until August I'm finding my feet with Nayu's Crochet Dreams regarding promotion and uploading items - it's my way of having a holiday while still doing some work ^o^ It's fun work, and I know I'm going to learn a lot as well as get writing and crochet done, so please bear with me as the various changes take place. 

Nearly time for some gaming - this is something I've promised to do every day! 

Nayu's News #179 Affiliate program - your opinion please!

Time to chat about a topic I'm looking for your view on.

 This post is a first of its kind. Until now I haven't had any advertising on my blog, because ads annoy me. However, due to a tweak of my life plan with wanting to be a writer and crochet artist (I love saying that!), namely creating my own business Nayu's Crochet Dreams and focusing on making it my career (& being a writer), I'm starting to think about ways I could earn some money online. I don't want random ads with products I hardly use because I only want to endorse items that I enjoy and use. I'm considering becoming an Audible affiliate.

I appreciate that there are some of you who aren't as fond of Amazon as I am. I hope that should I choose to become an Audible affiliate you don't hold that against me. I will understand if you have to stop following me, as I'm a strong believer in standing by what you believe in - I myself am anti-Nestle, have been since I was at uni and continue to try avoiding their products.

However, I do hope that you understand why I am looking to being receiving revenue for my blogging, which I adore. For me it makes sense to consider Audible affiliation because I adore audiobooks. They are brilliant if I'm gaming, or if I'm too tired to read but can zone out with crochet and listen to fun stories. I've uncovered a love of Amish fiction, such as the Kauffman Bakery by Amy Clipston I genuinely think audiobooks are another way of spreading the book love. 

Audiobook addict & proud!

I seem to naturally mention Audible when I chat about audiobooks, simply because that's where I get mine from. Their monthly membership plans are value for money. I'm on the £7.99 plan where I get a credit a month. This is brilliant value when you consider many of the audiobooks I've purchased cost over £15, some going in to the £30s. I'm currently not an affiliate and I'm not benefiting in any way from mentioning them in this post.
