Nayu's thoughts
Thanks to a lousy memory I can't remember when/why David asked if I could review some of his books, but ever since I have I've looked forward to each new edition because they are funny, appeal to boys (& girls), deal with a few social issues that appear when growing up, and are filled with heaps of adventure. Because I've read the Billy and Monster books out of order it was a real pleasure to read them all in one sitting.

The bond of friendship between Billy and his monster are clear, they help each other out (ok so it's more Billy helping Monster), and Monster is prone to kicking up a stink (literally). Whenever Billy did something wrong I was so in tune with the story that I felt that flush of shame which I always had when I was in trouble as a child – some memories don't fade! This is a great addition to my bookshelf, and I know you'll enjoy it too.

Nice to see someone writing books on topics that appeal to boys. They love gross stuff like farting monsters.
