Nayuleska's thoughts
I
loved the pastel style illustrations by Jona Jung in this book. The
first page had lots of cake slices & other food which make a cute
design. I thought it was a really good rhyming tale about being
overweight. People advised Mrs MacCready but she wouldn't listen. She
was selfish & only cared about eating. When the solution arrived to
one problem it was too late for her. This is what I was a little
disappointed over - there wasn't a concluding page after the sad
incident, which would have made the end feel more like an end in this 8/10 read, if that
makes sense.
