Book Summary
Mrs. Huffity's fifth grade class has a new project. It's a wish garden. Unfortunately, some of their wishes come true. Carrie, David, and Ivy accidentally travel to another world. To get home, they must save a prince from a curse and stop an evil sorceress. Along the way, they might even become friends.

Nayu's thoughts
This is somehow more awesome an adventure than book 1, Fierce Winds and Fiery Dragons!
There were slightly less dragon appearances, which I was sad to see, but the turmoil of emotions and problems which Carrie and her friends face kept me from missing the dragon element of the tale. I was glad this installment focused in on a plot part that was touched upon in book 1. Dealing with friendship troubles is hard, and it's only with new experiences that both Carrie and Ivy can figure out how they feel, be honest with themselves and each other. The land they find themselves in has fun parts and scary parts, but the girls and new friend David have to overcome their personal dislikes and unleash their inner powers which while not refined are still pretty cool.

Oh yes, the invisibility thing. It's a tough ride for Ivy, but throgh it she is able to figure her parents' divorce out, and discover the true value of friendship. All 3 friends face some scary situations which could have been fatal, but thanks to being in the right place and right frame of mind they survive. The depth of emotions explored is huge, and possibly something older readers will understand and get more out of than younger readers, simply due to more life experience.

It's all woven in almost perfectly; a scene near the end and at the end felt a tiny bit too short and not fully explored compared wih all the other scenes. However the book is so fun that doesn't really matter. I'm sure you will be carried away and get your heart strengthened with Carry and friends, who find love comes from anywhere and together you cam face anything.
