Read

The Dragon of the Month Club by Iain Reading
Children's, 9 years +
Partial review - 10/10E
(Awesome concept, got too creeped out to finish thanks to grisly fairytales...)

Death on the Prairie by Kathleen Ernst
Cosy Mystery
10E/10E
(A tour of all things 'Little House on the Prairie' involves murder and mayhem, as well as sisters learning about each other.)

The Right Hand Rule by R. M. Clark
Children's, 9 years +
10E/10E
(Another fab read from R. M. Clark with humour, friendship & science!)

Snow Job by Debbie Brown
Thriller
10E/10E
(I never knew lawyers could be put at so much risk from clients, the non-stop action is ace!)

Cancans, Croissants, and Caskets by Mary McHugh
Cosy Mystery
10E/10E
(There's a fair amount of humour in this Parisian murder mystery where I guessed the murderer but didn't care!)

Uneasy in New Orleans by Carol Carson
Cosy Mystery
10E/10E
(I'm relieved the voodoo element was something I could cope with as its a fun read with laughs and thrills galore.)

The Jam Doughnut That Ruined My Life by Mark Lowery
Children's, 9 years +
10/10E
(An insane and funny read about a problematic treat!)

Counting Stars by Keris Stainton
New Adult
10E/10E
(A leaving home read but taking an alternate route instead of uni after A levels...)

Unbroken by Michelle Davidson Argyle
Young Adult
10/10E
(Final part of the Breakaway trilogy is epic! Very happy ending & a happy reader!)

The Beachside Guest House by Vanessa Greene
Contemporary, Fiction
10E/10E
(After life goes a bit skewed some friends buy a Greek windmill and renovate it while sorting out their complex lives...)

Pane and Suffering by Cheryl Hollon
Cosy Mystery, Crime
10E/10E
(A funny read with lots of twists, learning about glass making and a murder to solve!)

Ava and Taco Cat by Carol Weston
Children's, 9 years +
10E/10E
(A heartwarming story of a cat who touches many lives-you will need tissues to read this!)

A Beeline for Murder by Meera Lester
Cosy Mystery, Crime
10E/10E
(A funny tale with some creepy parts taught me about bee keeping, friendship, and murder...)

Watched

Winx: Season 7
Magical Girl Anime, English version
10E/10E
(Even the lack of transformation for Butterflix doesn't stop my love for one of my favourite shows! Musa's got her own magical animal now!)

Amnesia
Mystery Anime, Japanese version
Rewatch - 10E/10E
(Having a heroine who never learns her own name, who keeps reliving days and seeks to stay alive for good makes for a wonderful anime!)

Neo Angelique Abyss
Magical Girl Anime (of sorts), Japanese version
Rewatch - 10E/10E
(Angelique has an incredible power to save the world – as well as a cute cat!)

Aikatsu:  Season 1
Music Idol Anime, Japanese version
Rewatch - 10E/10E
(Just watched the episode where Ichigo, Aoi and Ran have to teach a class to the year below them– I love Ran & Aoi's reaction when Ichigo explains her 'class' consisted of her singing for them!)

Hanasaku Iroha
Slice of Life Anime, Japanese version
Rewatch - 10E/10E
(Nako struggles getting her confident self at home to be present when she's working at the traditional Japanese inn, where she is rather shy and quiet. The difference in character has to be seen to be believed!)

Girls Und Panzer
School and Military Anime, Japanese version
10E/10E
(Where the girls take part in a club involving tanks – and their school is on a humungous ship [with fields!!!])

Stella Women's Academy High School Division Class C3
School and Slice of Life Anime, Japanese version
9/10E
(I've finished this anime which was absolutely incredible until the last episode which was ridiculous & not necessary. On my rewatch I'll skip the last ep!)

Galilei Donna
Science Fiction and Mecha Anime, Japanese version
10E/10E
(I discovered this gem of a show by chance. I love the family theme, with the youngest sister being a genius at science like their ancestor Galileo – she loves goldfish and even makes her ship a goldfish shape with a goldfish AI!)

Craft, games and more
This week has been a quiet one due to a migraine at the weekend. I've worked on secret craft projects, and started a new crochet project because I wanted something brightly coloured...

I did make some yummy fudge (yes it's grainy)...

...and tried artichoke for the first time in roasted veg (artichoke, brussel sprouts, onions, peppers).
