Delilah Dusticle's Transylvanian Adventure by A. J. York and Gavin Childs (Children's, 9 years +, 10/10E semi-short 'n' sweet)

January 2014, Amazon, 86 pages, Ebook, Review copy

Summary from A J's website
In this illustrated instalment, Delilah and the Dustbusters are invited to Transylvania to cater for the Hallow Eve Ball. All is not what it seems and Count Dracula has a very unusual request for Delilah.

This is the second in a series of stories following Delilah and the Dustbusters on journeys and adventures around the world. Delilah Dusticle’s Transylvanian Adventure guarantees to have has more action than you can shake a feather duster at!

Nayuleska's thoughts
Despite forgetting the finer details of book 1 (title in suggested read below) I remembered that Delilah's life was never dull and full of weird & wonderful goings on. I didn't expect to be so bowled over by being met with so many unexpected scenarios. Thanks general concepts about dracula I had an image in my mind of what he would be like-never did I suspect he would have fluffy duck slippers! That is only the start of the unexpected in this story. Barely a page went by that didn't make me smile or go wow with the constant plot twists which leave not quite a cliffhanger ending but one that makes me wish book 3 was out right now!

Expect to be surprised by what several people do and who they actually are-appearances are totally deceiving. Except for the Grumpy Sponge who is frequently grumpy - no, wait a moment, he does purr for someone other than Delilah. He isn't a cat! The concepts used and looked at provide a thrilling read, only slightly decreased by occasional grammar/punctuation errors - my copy might be an ARC.
