Nayu's News #88 Eid Mubarak!

Hi & asalaamu alaikum everyone! It's Eid!!!!

Well, it's Eid for some people today, and others tomorrow, depending which moon sighting authority you follow. Eid began at sunset yesterday (since each Islamic day begins at sunset), and is a time for celebration (lots of food, sometimes presents) after the most holy month of Ramadan.

You can find out more about Ramadan in my Ramadan posts:

Nayu's News #85 Ramadan 2013 Post 1 All about the essence of Ramadan

Nayu's News #86 Ramadan 2013 Post 2 All about flexibility in goals, and a Nayu summary on some of the Prophets (peace be upon them) who you may already have heard of.

Nayu's News #86 Ramadan 2013 Post 3 All about the extra special last 10 days of Ramadan, and me not losing the plot in talking about being like a bird and tying your camel (everyone has one!) (Yes somehow I had two #86 posts....)

Nayu's News #87 Ramadan Post 2013 All about good deeds and how easy they are to do!

Today I will be celebrating with lots of Winx
Starting at season 1 where Layla doesn't start, but Stella (blonde), Techna (purple hair), Flora (brown hair), Musa (dark blue hair), Bloom (red hair) are all in it!

& AKB0048,

some of many anime I put aside to concentrate on the benefits of Ramadan. I will also be back reading Young Adult, and continuing listening to the audiobook version of Twilight.

It was a fun, inspirational and enjoyable month, full of introspection. I did manage to complete listening to a recitation of the entire Quran - yay!
It involved the 'I'm not going to finish it' moment of a few days ago, before I remembered that the later chapters (surahs) are really short. >o< I know listening isn't the same as reciting, but I don't have the energy for that. And, something you may or may not know is that originally the Quran was spread through an oral tradition - it was written down so it could be shared with everyone. Other, more personal, achievements were made which I'm  not listing.
Wheeeeeeee to achieving goals!

I hope that you have a great Eid, and for those who don't celebrate it I hope you have a great day and have enjoyed this year's Ramadan posts. God willing there will be more next year! (All pics are taken from online)
Thank you for reading these posts!
