Summary from Egmont

Every atrocity
Every war
Every act of vengeance
One fallen angel walks the earth to bring mankind to its destruction... Turning love into hate, forgiveness into blame, hope into despair. Through the fires of hell he will come to haunt one girl's dreams.
But what if everything she ever dreamed was true?
Every time Cassie Farrier tries to sleep, she is plagued by visions of a death: A little girl called Zillah. A victim of the holocaust.
In desperation Cassie is sent for treatment in an old manor house. There she meets other children just like her. Including Seth... Seth who looks so familiar.
Her dream becomes nightmare. And then reality.
Nayuleska's reasons for loving Cassie...she never stops asking questions about the world around her, her strange gift, and finding answers to everything that puzzles her. Even if it means she lose the people she loves and cares for.

How evil/nasty is the enemy? Well with a crazy angel on the loose, anything can and does happen. The lengths the angel goes to is pretty disturbing at the tend of the book.

Are there plenty of plot twists and surprises? I barely figured out any of the plot twists, and was constantly leaning forward on my seat thinking 'is this the end?'. This is a really good take on using angels, I love the powers that are explored here.

One of my favourite parts was...when Cassie was allowed to go to the mad scientist and be a lab rat. I was so scared that her parents would say no. I knew she needed to go, for her own peace of mind, and to save the others.

I unreservedly give this action packed read 10/10

Be sure to check out more about the book and Bryony on her website.

Suggested reads
The first book which sprang to mind where children who are different group together with evil people after them is the thrilling Medusa Project series by Sophie McKenzie. I've recently read Double-Cross.

I think it might be part of a trilogy, but I can't quite remember.

Thank you! It's the new style from now on (with minor adjustments when reviewing picture books).
