Read
Help! I'm An Alien by Jo Franklin
Children's, 9 years +
10E/10E
(A surprisingly touchy tale about a boy feeling left out...)
The Misadventures of Max Crumbly: Locker Hero by Rachel Renee Russell, Nicki Russell & Erin Russell
Children's, 9 years +
8/10E
(A brand new boy centered series from the writer of Dork Diaries!)
Reread
Drina Dances in Italy by Jean Estoril
Children's, 9 years +
10E/10E
(I love how Drina gets to know her Italian family in this book, who aren't as scary as she thinks they might be!)
Listened
Vet Volunteers #1: Fight For Life by Laurie Halse Anderson
Children's, 9 years +
RELISTEN - FINISHED - 10/10E
(Maggie is reluctant to have her classmates help out at her grandmother's vet clinic while she struggles with homework, but she learns a few valuable lessons...)
Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George
Children's, 9 years +
RELISTEN - UNFINISHED - 10E/10E
(I'm relistening to this fantastic series [not read the 3rd book yet, and not got the newly released 4th book]; it's full of royalty, a living castle, some tragedy, some humour, lots of adventure...)
WATCHED
Aikatsu: Season 1
Music Idol anime, Japanese version
REWATCH - 10E/10E
(Just past the point where Star Anis summer tour is announced! Shion has yet to bail out for her acting...)
Princesse Sara (A Little Princes)
Slice of Life anime, French version
REWATCH - 10E/10E
(At the happy stage where Sara's father is alive and she is slowly making friends at the boarding school...)
Heidi
Slice of Life anime, French version
REWATCH - 10E/10E
(Heidi is such a cheerful soul it's a pleasure to watch her discover life in the mountains with her grumpy grandfather...)
KinMoza
Slice of Life anime, Japanese version
REWATCH - 10E/10E
(I'd forgotten just how cute the girls are! The one in Japan loves all things English, the one in England loves all things Japanese, and they get to live with one another after a home stay when they were younger.)
Mirror Mirror
Live Action film, English version
REWATCH - 10E/10E
(A beautiful retelling of Snow White which made me laugh a lot and smile at all the friendship. A must watch if you love fairytales!)
Craft, games, and more
It's been a fairly quiet week on all counts. I've played on MiniPets, managing to get a baby giraffe!
I'm also hooked on Diner Dash Deluxe by Playfirst – I'm on the 2nd stage which is in a restaurant called Go With the Flo! (Flo is the main character)
Craft wise I've made some progress on this simply cute blanket...
I've also made a cute bag....
...which is a trial bag, hence the not so good handles. Really happy with how it's come out and looking forward to making more!
