having parents who divorce, living in two homes, making the most of a situation, how toys are split, how school life is affected, how family life is affected, what happens when the child misses the other parent, heaps of bittersweet moments,

Tissues may be needed if you are easily moved by books

Summary from Walker Australia (Walker UK had website issues at the time of putting up this post)
Mum and Dad don't live together any more, so sometimes this little girl lives with her mum and her cat, and sometimes she lives with her dad. She has two bedrooms and two sets of toys, but she takes her favourite toys with her wherever she goes. This simple, warm lift-the-flap book with bold and colourful illustrations is a reassuring representation of separation for the youngest children. Melanie Walsh visits the changes in routine that are familiar to many children that live with separate parents and are loved by both.

Nayuleska's thoughts
I was crying by the end because it's sad when a child has to deal with divorce, but I like how the child dealt with having to live in different places all the time.

Suggested reading
Another sweet book which you'll need more tissues for is Missing Mummy by Rebecca Cobb which explains simply & clearly what happens when a young child's mother dies.
