Nayu's News #48: Boo!

Surprise!

Heehee - I'm sure you didn't expect me to do this during the week! Normally I don't but I have a little free time to do this.

I'm extremely happy at the moment because I can take my ketamine treatment at home. It's a bit weird having syringes in the house, but I guess it's something I'll get used to. I probably won't have my first dose before March, so still got a while to go before I do it. I can't begin to describe how amazing it is to have pain relief . It's been about 4 years or so since this all started, and I'm smiling so much these days because the relief is a dream come true.

"Keep smiling!"

Or should that be "Just keep smiling, just keep smiling" like Dory in the film Finding Nemo sings 'Just keep swimming!'

It doesn't take away all the pain, and definitely doesn't do anything to my low energy levels. As usual when I have the ketamine, I start to notice the fatigue even more!
 "Zzzzzz"

So I'm resting lots,

and trying not to have a schedule outside of work. I adore schedules. On a work day I'd read, then email & blog, then watch anime. On a day off I'd blog and write until lunch time, then read in the afternoon and watch anime in the evening.
*says to self sleepily* "Keep going, got a bit more reading to do next...."

Not any more! I'm doing what I want, when I want (within reason). Going with what my body feels like, rather than what I want it to feel like makes a difference on how quickly I recoup energy (I don't get massive amounts, but watching anime instead of reading can make a significant difference for me). It's still a new concept, and I do keep a vague schedule when it comes to writing (which needs priority on non-work days), but apart form that I'm not on a schedule.
"Hm, last week before change in schedule I was blogging. Now I'm relaxing with a book and some delicious hot chocolate which I'm kind of addicted to."

This is quite a radical step, and I suspect at times I may revert to my schedule, which is ever so much like a comfort blanket. Or a much loved cuddly toy.
"My comfort blanket..."

So what have I been up to? The usual of reading...

...watching anime...

...I'm getting back into gaming, which is uber fun.
I do have to have some energy for it, as gaming involves making a lot of decisions which when my brain fog level is high the battles go way too fast for my liking. Currently in the realm of Final Fantasy 13 (1st & 2nd game). Lightning is ok (& the heroine in the first one), but I prefer Vanille in FF13

and Serah, Lightning's  who ends up being the heroine in FF13-2!
(Lightning is on the left, Serah on the right - this is FF13 not FF13-2 because Serah's outfit is more modest (of sorts) here)

(First meeting)
Serah gets a moogle which transforms into a weapon & does other awesome stuff
(as a keychain below)

Yes I'm super excited about this game. What makes it obvious?
Amu from the anime Shugo Chara (a favourite of mine)

I'm also doing a bit more craft! Will post pictures of my cross stitch another time.

That's it for now - I need to put the pictures up for this post, then go and rest! I have to say that although I've had reviews up, I've really missed my Nayu's News posts. Turns out I enjoy blogging about my life as much as reviewing. I plan to write these types of posts as and when my body lets me. Have a good evening!

Here's my Twitter Avatar, Holo from the anime Spice and Wolf which I'm slowly rewatching

Do you know the game Ace Attorney? It's pretty fun...it comes as an app or video game, so it's pretty easy to buy for most things...it's a Japanese anime-style addicting game with lots of FUN included! :D

Ali, no I haven't seen that game. I took a peek and it's not for me ^o^ But thank you for the recommendation!

Well, thanks for checking it out! ~,'
I just had it lying around for two years thinking it wasn't for me either, then became addicted. However you could be right, I'm better than most at judging books by covers. Maybe it really isn't for you ;) That's fine. Thanks!
