Nayuleska's thoughts

This was such an inspirational book for me. I related loads with Demi Mercifully I'm not deaf, but the turmoil of emotions as she gets used to her new way of life, the inner struggles she has on a daily basis and the desire to fit in with society are things I've dealt with for my health. Im certain all readers will take away Demi's personal strength and determination that appear & remain solid by the end of the book. She's lovable because she stuffs up along the way. She hates what's happened, which is a big emotion to deal with when health restrictions affect your life, especially when doing what makes you happy. The fact that she continues to make new friends & find someone who cares about her is a positive message to get across. We may have difficulties in life, but those are not our entire life as Demi in this 10/10 read proves.
