Stunt Bunny: Tour Troubles by Tamsyn Murray

February 2011 Simon and Schuster
128 pages, Paperback
Review copy

Children's, 5 years +

A very special bunny vs a normal bunny, friendship, enemies who stop at nothing, familiar faces, being in a show, lots of humour

Harriet Houdini: Stunt Bunny is back in action, this time as the star of Superpets Live!
With visions of posh hotels, meeting adoring fans and performing her famous bunny-backflips in front of live audiences, Harriet can't wait for the tour of Superpets. But evil Miranda wants her opera-singing poodle, Doodle, to be the headline act… whatever it takes. So Harriet's going to need all her Stunt Bunny tricks to make sure she remains the star of the show!

Nayuleska's reasons for loving Harriet...I love her atttude, her thrill of adventure and the inventive ways she manages to escape from tricky situations.

Is there another character who deserves a mention? Harriet's owner Susie tries to spoil Harriet as much as she can, which isn't easy with opposition from Susie's father.

How evil/nasty is the enemy? Susie's father has a huge grudge against Harriet which makes him give Harriet the bare essentials, no treats. The mystery kidnapper is not so mysterious and wants to use Harriet's fame. The competitive streak in Miranda makes her take drastic measures which could harm Harriet.

Are there lots of twists and surprises? Although I worked out what the end would be, I had no idea how it would happen so there were lots of surprises.

My favourite part was...the breakfast incident, where Harriet is definitely not as innocent as she looks!

I give this fun read a solid 10/10.
