Nayu's thoughts
People are always surprised to learn I was quite a madam when I was younger, and could probably give this little witch a few lessons in moody attitude. Her mannerisms made me giggle as the feelings behind them were familiar ones, especially as more spells kept going wrong. Encouraging good feelings can make such a difference to a person's day – or to her spell casting as the little witch finally learns. I liked the sense of action and flow of the magic on the pages from both the story and the illustrations. It did make me wonder what havoc the little witch would cause when she became a teenager!
