Nayuleska's thoughts
This book is awesome! As you can see from the cover
the illustrations are perfect for me – anime-ish style, lots of cute sights that made me
smile. Hattie’s life is as fun as anime too, with key fantasy characters such as fairies, unicorns (mermaids are in future books too). I loved the way she
became a magical vet –
everything was explained while having a fair balance of action and urgency.
There’s a surprising amount of tense moments which had me
finding it harder to breathe. I can report the end is happy & satisfactory,
although I can sense trouble brewing for future adventures. I’m looking forward already to rereading Hattie’s adventure!
Suggested read
For another adventure where a girl discovers she is not as ordinary as she thought is Magic Trix, with the latest book Magic Trix: Magic Mansion by Sara Grant (Children's, 7 years +, 10E/10E)
