I can't give this book a rating, not because it's bad but because I helped out a little while it was in the editing stage so I'm too biased to give a fair rating. I enjoyed watching as friendships suffered and then finally adjusted to the arrival of hormones to Charlie & her friends. She starts to find out being a tom boy can be troublesome, and other people don't understand how close she is to her friends. The school trip was pretty awesome, especially the way Charlie matured during it (not before running into the sea & getting wet, thus bringing down the wrath of the bus driver).
