What are you reading? #101

What are you reading on Monday? is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel at Home Girl's Book Blog where you post books completed last week and plans for upcoming books. Jump over to her blog and see who else is participating.

Books I've read this week
Although I didn't read too many books this week due to pre-treatment nerves, I've since read quite a bit. Here's what's been on the reading pile for me.

Dance Together Dinosaurs by Jane Clarke & Lee Wildish
Children's, Picture book
(With all the dance shows around, dancing dinosaurs fits in perfectly....with an interesting take on a show....)
8/10

Socks Are Not Enough by Mark Lowery
Release Date:  Feburary 2012
Young Adult
(Michael has an awful lot of awkward problems revolving around his parents' life choices)
10/10

A Hen in the Wardobe by Wendy Meddour
Release Date: 2nd February 2012
Children's, 7 years +
(Not at all what I expected [in a good way] and you will need tissues!)
10/10

Ruby Holler by Sharon Creech
2003 edition
Children's
(A friend lent me her copy and despite the misleading cover....this is actually a children's book with a great sentimental and realistic story.)

Someone Else's Life by Katie Dale
Young Adult
(When you read this, be prepared to have preconceptions about some plot twists blow away in the wind, especially near the end)
9/10

When the World Was Waiting for You by Gillian Shields & Anna Currey
Children's, Picture book
 New edition: Bloomsbury
(My favourite moment is when the baby bunny is lying in it's crib, looking adorable!  See my review of a previous edition, here....)

Grace by Morris Gleitman
Children's
(This is a finished re-read and was JUST as powerful as the first time I read it.)

Spell Sisters 1: Sophia the Flame Sister by Amber Castle
Children's, 7 years +
(A nice girl version of the Arthurian legend....)
9/10

Spelle Sisters 2: Lily the Forest Sister by Amber Castle
Children's, 7 years +
(I think because I knew the characters I dived into the story straight away enjoying it, rather than taking a little time to warm to it...)
10/10

Reread
These are the reading adventures I'm undertaking in addition to my weekly reads at that most perfect hour of the day....right before lights out. What better time to settle in with an old (or not so old) favorite....and so the "re-reads" category was born. Currently going through.....

Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer
I haven't read much of it this week, as I've wanted lighter reads. Hopefully I'll get more read this week.

The Babysitter's Club: #3 The Truth About Stacey by Ann Martin
I remember loving this story the first time around, and I can relate a lot to how Stacey feels about having an illness that makes her different to everyone else.
