What are you reading? #96

What are you reading on Monday? is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel at Home Girl's Book Blog where you post books completed last week and plans for upcoming books. Jump over to her blog and see who else is participating.

Books I've read this week

Saving Daisy by Phil Earle
Out Jan 2012
Children's
(A startling insight into a mixed up teen in care, dealing with self-guilt, depression and related issues...)
10/10

Chocolate SOS by Sue Limb
Out Jan 2012
Young Adult
(Jess digs herself holes with lies, but she has a good heart for her friends who are going through tough experiences...)
8/10

A Touch of Power by Maria V Snyder
Fantasy
(I adore all Maria's books, but this book tops them all! Avry the Healer is in danger a lot, and can help the world a lot too. There may be an interview with Maria too....)
10/10

Wereworld: Shadow of the Hawk by Curtis Jobling
Children's
(There is a reason why this didn't get 10/10 - it is down to personal preference, not the story which is as fab as ever. Blog tour happening for this one!)
8/10

Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka
Non-fiction
(What the Japanese ladies who leave their home country to go to husbands in America - who aren't what they seem - endure brought so many tears to my eyes, and put a lot of life in perspective.)
10/10

Re-reads
So, what are re-reads you ask.  Simple!  These are the reading adventures I'm undertaking in addition to my weekly reads at that most perfect hour of the day....right before lights out.  What better time to settle in with an old (or not so old) favorite....and so the "re-reads" category was born.  Currently going through.....

Twlight by Stephanie Meyer
Young Adult
(I'm re-reading as I have to cull my books. These are quite thick ones, but they could well be staying put...)

The Babysitters Club: Kristy's Great Idea by Ann M Martin
Children's, 9 years +
(This is a real blast from the past, I adored these when I was little. I'm now starting to collect them again - my absolute favourites were the holiday special collections!)

I am impressed by how much you are reading as well as including rereads. I don't seem to have time for many of those.

Oh wow - I haven't seen a babysitters club book in forever! I used to read them a lot when I was a kid!
