However, a few of you may notice that the blurb under the blog title has changes. Yes, I am finally specialising in what I review. Sort of.
Basically I need to spend more time writing. Books don't get written by the Muse. The Muse has to work through me. Also for health reasons I need to ease off on things that make me feel a bit pressurised. I'm an all or nothing person. I feel guilty if I don't get reviews up each day. Limiting the number will make the goals more achievable.
I will be dropping to 3 reviews a week. One fantasy, one young adult, one children's. Other genres will be reviewed every now and then. I may post up mini-reviews for all the books I read. I'm still going to devour books.
I made the observation that a lot of reviewers don't review a book a day. A friend kindly said I have been a bit insane in that goal. I agree with her, but needed someone to tell me that.
I'm in consultation with my current reviewing helpers - hopefully I'll keep them on.
I will be continuing the What Are You Reading meme on Mondays. The wishlist meme will go - just because I'm always going to want books! And it takes a lot of time in the week to read all the blogs I follow and grab books from them. Author interviews will continue too!
This change will not affect the books I've got lined up for review. All it means is, that when I do select books for review outside my ARC pile, I won't get as carried away. My library might even see me this year too.
Hopefully this is all okay. It's better than having to close the blog altogether (which I do not want to do).

I pretty much aim for three reviews a week too. It's quite manageable and if I happen to manage an extra one that's fine. Hopefully it'll work out better for you too.
Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. (Plus this allows that WIP to finish taking form!) Happy....writing! ^_^
It's definitely okay. Do what's best for you! :) Besides, I always thought it was so insane too that you review a book a day (and that you READ a book a day)!
Thanks everyone!
I'm still trying to read a book a day. But it's ok if I don't.
Good for you! (That you have it all figured out, lol)
I've come across a few posts recently in this regard and have frequently discussed with my friend about "blogger burnout". I'm having way too much fun with the blogging world but do feel the pressure to post takes a bit of the enjoyment out of it. There has to be balance and it seems you've found a good strategy. I'll take the cue from you and try to work on my own schedule improvements :-)
