Nayu's thoughts
Invisibility is an enviable superpower, and it is amazing that some animals have this ability. The journey that Gecko goes in shows that friends come in different shapes and sizes, and having things in common can bring people together, an important message to share to all readers.

What captured my interest the mouse was the sheer amount of animals who camoflague themselves. I knew of a few obvious ones, like a cheetah, caterpiller and a giraffe, hadn't considered elephants and owls also use the superpower of invisibliity. I Could have done without the sn*ke though, as I have a phobia of them.

The way the animals blend so thoroughly into their background made finding a few of them in the illustration a challenge, which as an older reader was fun because it meant they weren't super obvious making them truly invisibile. It is a cheerful read filled with friendship and happens to teach readers about the marvels of the animal kingdom at the same time!
