Summary from Bloomsbury
When a ghastly giant comes crashing through the Kingdom one day, the townsfolk fear for their lives. He's knocking down the buildings! He's breathing his stinky breath all over the place! He's even picking giant bogeys out of his giant nose - he must be stopped!

So the King decrees that ALL knights be sent to slay the giant - and whoever succeeds will be knighted BRAVEST IN THE LAND.

Enter Sir Scaly Pants (the most unusual knight around) and his trusty steed Guinevere (he most unfit horse around) Will this unlikely duo manage to defeat the greedy, grimy giant? You bet they will!

Nayu's thoughts
A dragon rescues a town after being bullied) While the illustrations are bright and bold, they aren't 100% my style but the humour which radiates from Sir Scaly Pants and his knight, as well as the story summary had me happily reading this courage filled tale. It's a hope filled tale that despite being bullied Sir Scaly Pants was able to save the day when the ones who ridiculed him didn't have the intellect and skills to do so.

The giant is a huge stinking problem, I giggled away at the expressions from the devastation the giant left in his wake as he caused havoc. It felt like Sir Scaly Pants didn't have anything to lose, he just wanted to do good and that's what he does. I was cheering at the end when people appreciate his bravery, including the bullies, and I'm looking forward to Sir Scaly Pants next adventure!
