More! by Tracey Corderoy and Tim Warnes (Children's, Picture book, 10E/10E)

July 2015, Little Tiger Press, 32 pages, Paperback, Review copy

Content: manners, humour

Summary from Little Tiger Press
Uh-oh! Archie has discovered a new word: “more!”
MORE books at bedtime! MORE ice cream! MORE bubble bath!

He wants to build BIGGER towers and BETTER fancy dress costumes.

But sometimes “more” is just too much…

Nayu's thoughts
This is a cute and ever so funny read showing how wanting more can be too much. I know parents and other family members can relate to younger children crying 'more!' Archie does/haves whatever 'more' he wanted, with clear outcomes pointing out how our desires don't have the result we necessarily expect. I giggled away at the bright and colourful pictures as the story unfolded, happy to be surprised at a few events including the end.
