Nayu's Thoughts
This tale is
just super cute! I was taken aback a bit by how relevant it is for
some readers. I find these days there's a lot of pressure to know
what you want your career to be, and make all kinds of decisions
about your life. It's natural for Fergus to feel overwhelmed, and to
try and take on board all the advice he hears. The problem with
trying to do everything is that the tasks are no longer as enjoyable
as they could be. Thankfully by the end he discovers there's only one
thing he needs to be when he grows up, and that will make readers go
aww, as I did! There's something to be said for keeping life simple,
and experiencing whatever happens with an open mind, rather than
being fixated on achieving a partiular goal.
