TA-DAH! It's DRAGON JELLY time,
A sizzling scrumptious treat.
It's red. It's wobbly. Best of all,
It's SCARY HOT to eat . . . !

Max is having a MONSTER party. They play all sorts of yucky games then cool down in a fruitbat drool paddling pool! Then it's tea-time, with termite tarts, ear-wig rolls and eyeball birthday cake. But the REAL treat is the red-hot dragon jelly! - See more at: http://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/dragon-jelly-9781408846193/#sthash.R7AJ1pCl.dpuf

Nayu's thoughts
Clearly I was drawn in by the bright cheery cover and didn't properly read the blurb because I ended up reading this book with my eyes half-closed. It's not a boring read, but definitely one for those who like all things grossed I have a near phobia of all things that wiggle, so the thought of some of the food had me terrified.

However, I did read it and there were some moments which made me go awww. Children can be so sweet. Not a read for the faint-hearted! The illustrations, even the disgusting ones, were colourful and definitely enhanced the reading experience, just not necessarily in the way I personally liked. I did opt to review it because I love both Claire and Sue's work, next time I will read the blurb properly!
