Nayuleska's thoughts
Awwww! That was my thought for every page of this supremely cute read. Bear and bunny hugging made my heart melt. Bear is extremely considerate in how it takes care of bunny, giving it a bed, holding it tightly and being practical by leaving its hands free when Bear goes out and about looking for bunny's owner by placing bunny in a baby carrier attached to Bear's back. Bunny is forever looking cute and needing a cuddle, which happens in the story. Bunny's owner wasn't who I expected, and the twist at the end is very welcome.

The simple, expressive illustrations enhance the sweet story, having me shed a tear when Bear had to say goodbye to bunny. The love Bear has for bunny is immense, it will remind readers of how they took toys everywhere when they were little; I'd put my treasured bear (who had many clothes knitted by my grandmother at a time long before the Bear Factory existed) on the windowsill, sometimes with a book, so she would be waiting for me when I got in from school.
