Summary from Harper Collins
The fifth animal in the hilarious AWESOME ANIMALS series – awesome adventures with the wildest wildlife.

From the author of the hilarious WORLD OF NORM series comes the second crazy koala caper.

Dude, Bro and Squirt are pros at doing…nothing. They can do nothing all day long – nothing but munch on their favourite treat, lie in the sunshine and think about moving.

Their little sister, baby Squeak, is not quite so good at doing nothing. In fact she’s got more energy than her brothers know what to do with! She’s so lively that when the boys lose track of her they soon discover she’s no longer in the tree tops…she’s heading for the beach!

Can they find Lil before the dingos do? What if she’s swept off to sea? Or is little Lil a bit more like her brothers than they thought? Find out in a brand new KOALA CALAMITY!

Nayuleska's thoughts
Having recently been introduced to this series (see suggested read) I knew I'd enjoy this tale. Enjoy is
an understatement. It was fantastic! The constant banter between the koala siblings had me in stitches, especially when it changed in the face of danger. I adored how Dude reacted to the shark, how Squeak zinged around with endless energy and how much the brothers cared for their little sister. I wonder if she will give away what happened by accident to their parents at a later date, since she takes things literally and is too little to think about the consequences, unlike her older brothers who know better but don't always do the right thing straight away - especially if eucalyptus is around!

Find out more about the crazy koalas on Jonathan's website and also Neal's website.

Suggested read
Definitely check out other books in the series. The first that I read is Llama Drama In ItTo Win It by Rose Impey & Ali Pye (Children's, 7 years +, 10/10E)
