Nayuleska's thoughts
This is a
sweet boxset with a card to decorate with stickers relating to the stories.
Before We Go To Bed by Sue Mongredien & Cee
Biscoe is about a bear who manages to pull a wool of it’s grandfather’s eyes
and do lots of exciting things before bed – I liked the look of the mound of
porridge with sprinkles on!
My Daddy and Me by Tina Macnaughton is a bear
saying how he feels when he’s with his father.
The Very Happy Hippo by Jonathan Shipton and Sally
Percy is about a young hippo whose father is too busy to spend time with him,
so he does something that makes his father finally spends time with him!
Oops-a-Daisy! by Claire Freedman and Gaby
Hansen is by far the cutest read of them all, mostly because it’s about bunnies
(who I prefer over bears) and Daisy is so adorable I want to hug her! They all
learn that learning new skills takes time, and often lots of small steps are
easier than trying to do a giant step (or hop, or burrowing...)
Suggested read
There's a similar boxset for mothers! Me and My Mummy (Children's, Picture book, Activity book, 10E/10E)
