On My Wishlist #6

On My Wishlist is a weekly meme that allows us to share the books we haven't bought yet but are waiting to be bought and devoured. This idea is brought to us by Book Chick City.

Once again, I am still snowed it. The good news is that we are not *glares at sky* due any more snow, we are due the wet stuff, rain. Yay!

Witch and Wizard by James Patterson (YA fantasy)

Stray by Rachel Vincent (Fantasy - urban?)

Midnight's Daughter by Karen Chance (Vampires!)

Incarceron by Catherine Fisher (fantasy)

The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards (unsure of genre)

Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire (fantasy, fairy tale)

Bloodring by Faith Hunter (fantasy, urban)

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (fantasy?)

Glass Houses by Rachel Caine (vampires!)

Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston (YA)

Such A Pretty Girl by Laura Weiss (YA)

Revolver by Marcus Sedgwick (Children's, thriller)

That's it for this week! I'm quite sure I'll have some more I fancy next week.

Okay, okay...stop adding to my Wish List! (just kidding) Book 1 there (Witch and Wizard) is YA fantasy....and was already on my list too! Interesting cover there....the one I've currently seen is a flaming W with a girl's face in flames on the one side and a boy's face in flames on the other. While I think they are both brillant...I think this cover makes it look "younger" (if that makes any sense). Thanks for sharing....and happy reading!

Will amend it! Yup...have seen a variety of covers (as there tends to be these days). Opted for the first one in google images!

If I can only offer one piece of advice to my fellow book bloggers - pass over Witch & Wizard. It was quite literally painful to read...

Incarceron by Catherine Fisher looks good. Glass house and Wondrous Strange I certainly recommend :)

Melissa, it still stays on the list because I may like it (I've loved films/books that a lot of people didn't like and vice versa)

Thanks for the recommendation Book Monster!

Hunger Games and Shiver are on my current TBR list too! Shiver has such a beautiful cover.

I've read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. It's an interesting, realistic approach to Cinderella.

I've read Witch and Wizard. I liked it but not as much as Maximum Ride. I have a copy of Revolver and it is climbing slowly up the TBR pile. I'm so excited I am going to a Marcus Sedgwick book talk on February 9th and I can't wait!

You have so many good books on your list! Love Rachel Vincent and Karen Chance! Not familiar with Bloodring, but it looks good.

Happy reading!
