The Valentine's Day Cat by Sabuhi Gard and Karen Moore (Children's, Picture book, 9/10E, short 'n' sweet read)

October 2015, Britain's Next Bestseller, 28 pages, Paperback, Review copy

Book summary
A beautifully illustrated story of Jerry the gorgeous tabby cat who goes missing on Valentine's Day, where could he be?

Nayu's thoughts
I hope it reassures you that despite heartwrenching beginning thanks to innocent human error there is a happy ending and the cat is reunited with his family. The way he gets lost takes into account human nature, and that misunderstandings do just happen. I found the emotions strong, possibly because I adore cats and would have hated to experience.

Equally as a cat owner I know how stupid cats can behave, how they get themselves into places they shouldn't be and then can't get out on their own accord! This is a read which every cat owner can relate to, with a sweet style of illustrations that accurately portray the emotions felt. ^o^
