To Baby With Love: Peekaboo Baby! by Sarah Ward (Children's, Board book, Picture book, 10E/10E, short 'n' sweet review)

February 2016, Little Tiger Press, 10 pages, Hardback, Review copy

Summary from Little Tiger Press
Peekaboo, I see you! Babies will love turning the pages of this gorgeous lift-the-flap board book, as they help to find Mouse, Bunny, Lion and friends. With a surprise mirror ending, this book is packed with peekaboo fun!

Nayu's thoughts
You can see how cute this is from the cover! The wide range of pastel colours suits the adorable story which involves lifting up sturdy flaps to see who is underneath. Potentially if the reader has read it a few times they will be able to guess who is there. Most of the illustrations looked as if they would have a specific texture if touched - they don't, but the feathers looked feathery, and the bubbles looked ready to pop.

The text is of a similar style throughout which made me smile as I knew what was comig next but was still engaged in the tale. The mirror at the end has a protective cover that needs removing for it to be reflective prior to the first read. Although part of a series it is a standalone book, making it perfect as a new baby gift or birthday present.
