Content: seasons,
Summary from Amazon (I don't benefit by mentioning them, and LTP haven't got it up yet)
Explore the beauty of the changing seasons in this timeless peek-through
book with beautiful artwork from Britta Teckentrup and accompanying
rhyming text. Following the life-cycle of a tree through spring, summer,
autumn and winter, children will easily learn to recognise the signs of
the seasons with this simple yet striking picture book.
Nayu's thoughts
This is an extremely clever way of examining seasons. Each double page
spread looks at the same tree and the same woods as the seasons
change. Not only that, there are holes cut in the pages so animals
can be seen scampering about the trees, decreasing in number during
certain seasons. The illustrations are cute and fairly detailed , which
encourages the reader to think about how seasons change where they
live, and to find the smaller details which at first glance may be
missed but which can be significant parts of a season. The colours
are pleasing, and the expressions on the animals' faces made me
smile.
