Content: heartache, grief, tough decisions, tissue may be needed
Summary from Amazon (who I get nothing by mentioning them)
When Scarlett Blake chose life-after-death as a Cerulean, she
expected to grieve for all she left behind: her boyfriend, her best
friend, her mother, her home. But at least Cerulea, her heaven, would
be… well, heavenly. Right?
Wrong.
The world in which Scarlett awakens is very far from her idea of a utopia. Picturesque, sure, and serene. But there can be no paradise within the unforgiving walls of a prison, be they of cold, hard stone or beautifully blue water.
Now Scarlett faces her hardest decision yet: be a good, dutiful Cerulean, or be true to herself and fight for freedom.
And if she can find a way to escape, what then? Can she finally reunite with her lost sister? Can she save Sienna from the murderous Fallen? Can she evade her destiny with the Ceruleans?
Can Scarlett Blake ever reclaim her life-before-death… or must she let go of all she loves?
Wrong.

Nayu's thoughts
Squeeeee! It's here!!!! After a brilliant end to book 2 in the fun series which probably made a lot of people cry but made me rejoice (Forget Me Not), I positively pounced on book 3. It didn't disappoint one bit! It wasn't what I expected, but to be fair Cerulea isn't what Scarlett expected either. I'm not spoiling it for you, as it has to be experienced to be believed, but it's a bit less magical than I expected. That's not in a bad way, it's just the way of the story (which is super cool!)
I love how Scarlett is more than a tad grumpy when she gets there. I did understand that, although part of me was saying 'enough with teen angst, get up and embrace your new life so you can free your sister!', I loved every moment of the next stage in Scarlett's journey. It was quite interesting how there was more friction between her and Jude, which does make sense when you find out what happens to Scarlett. To sum it up there's a load of lying (not necessarily by Jude), lots is covered up in the name of protecting Scarlett, but all it does is tick her off and make her less receptive to Cerulean ideology, which also isn't what you think.
As for her sister...yeah, I'm so not spoiling that for you! Much more of the unexpected happens, Scarlett is reeling from all her encounters and revelations (so was I), and I suspect she just wants a lovely bubble bath - although probably not the one with the entire bottle used as happened on Cerulea when someone tries to be considerate to her.
I already want to reread the series again (such a good sign), to see if I can pick up clues about all the characters who Scarlett meets. Currently have no idea when book 4 and 5 will be out, but I will most definitely be reviewing them - and will have to reread the others to 'refresh' my memory when that time comes ^o^

Thanks for taking the time to read and review! Book 4's cover reveal is planned for August, and the publication for early September - then I hope to have the final book out in early December.
