Nayu's thoughts
While
not bilingual myself, I learnt French from a young age simply because
it was fun. I know the joy of understanding vocabulary, and I
appreciate how important it can be for children to be brought up with
2 or more languages in their home. The more fun learning is, the
easier it is to remember the information. Whether the reader of this
book is young in age, or much older but wants an enjoyable way to
learn not only colours but a few nouns, this sturdy book is perfect
for that purpose.
It's wipe clean – a must for those prone to have
sticky fingers. It's easy to lift up the flaps on each page which
have a similar picture of the coloured object, only drawn in a
different way, and with the opposing language's phrase. I had fun
lifting each flap and guessing what the French would be – I think I
got 1 wrong, but only served for me to remember the correct phrase.
Parents have a brilliant way of teaching colours in both languages in
this stylish engaging read.
