characters
Nayu's thoughts
Getting
children of all ages to eat vegetables can sometimes be a battle, so
anything which makes vegetables fun without being preachy is good in
my book. This story does just that. The king is a ridiculous
character, who hates trying anything new. He dictates what he will
eat, despite the cook's attempt to get him to eat different foods. It
was rather clever how the vegetable kept using a disguise to sell its
wares, and how in the end the only way the king can feel better is to
eat vegetables. This is a read which will provide lots of laughs and
hopefully make vegetables seem not quite as scary.
