Hi everyone. I thought you'd like to know about a book related online show which I've learnt about, called Book Break. Here's the information I received about it - I'm only advertising it because I've seen Liz de Jager about on Twitter & have to give her a shout-out!
Its 3rd episode [is] being aired on Friday 4th April. One of the guests featuring is Liz de Jager, a YA author who will be talking about her debut YA novel Banished that she wrote over a seven year period while also running My Favourite Books.
Alongside
her we will also have Clare Donoghue and Matt Cain also debut novelists
and we will be featuring Helen Rappaport’s in the ‘Writer’s Room’ which
is a segment where we find out writing rituals she has and how she gets
into the zone, and finally in a quickfire questions section we will be
putt author Jo Rees on the spotlight.
Clare Donoghue, a former city lawyer whose debut crime and mystery novel Never Look Back is set in South London.
And finally Matt Cain, former culture editor of Channel4 News and currently a columnist for Attitude, draws on his experience and celebrity knowledge with his debut novel Shot Through the Heart, an LA based Hollywood romance.
There is also an opportunity for unpublished authors to send in their 30 second pitch for idea for a book in our Life’s A Pitch segment. Which can be sent to bookbreak@macmillan.com for a chance to feature in a future show.
You can watch the show here.
