Nayuleska's thoughts
This gem of a read is free on Amazon at the moment, which is why I got it despite not being completely in love with the illustration style. I wanted to learn more about Lily and what she liked to do in her room, which I certainly did in the pictures surrounding the rhyming verses. The illustrations are expressive, I can feel Lily's enthusiasm fly out from the page. I found the clowns and dolls a little creepy, but I loved Lily's inquisitive nature, how the cat appeared on a lot of pages, and how much fun Lily has with her toys. As far as book characters go Lily is a great role model for girls.

Another fun girl to read about is Dot, who features Dot. by Randi Zuckerberg and Joe Berger (Children's, Picture book, 10E/10E)
