I want a friend but who will I choose?

Take a trip around the world, meet children from lots of different places and peep into their lives.

Nayuleska's thoughts
Diversity is a key part of this book. I liked how a similar format was followed for each country visited.
The left page had a banner at the top naming the country and depicting how the nameless child got there.
There is a full page picture of the child meeting another child from that country, with a speech bubble of
hello in the relevant language, and the name of the child. The right hand page has several pictures and
labels explaining where each child lives, what they like to do, what their family is like, etc.

I liked the different coloured skin, hair and clothes, everyone looks friendly. One of the girls has a
wheelchair as part of her life, and the Chinese girl has a cute bag with a bunny on as well as a sweet
outfit. The nameless child doesn't change clothes, not even when he visits colder climates, but apart
from that this is an ace read with a large pull out flap at the end which made me smile because it would
be wonderful if everyone didn't care about differences and were all friends. It's a positive message for
readers to take away, along with hopefully an interest in finding out more about other countries.

Be sure to check out Catherine and Laurence's website.
