What are YOU reading? #158

What are you reading on Monday? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey where you post books completed last week and plans for upcoming books. Jump over to her blog and see who else is participating.

Read

Murdoch Mole's Big Idea by Georgie Adams & Chris Fisher
Children's, 5 years +
(I was going "aww" throughout the story at how cute Murdoch was...)
10/10

Magic Trix: The Witching Hour by Sara Grant
Children's, 7 years +
(Turning 10 is more fun than Trix ever imagined, especially as she finally gets what she's dreamed of!)
9/10

Magic Trix: Flying High by Sara Grant
Children's, 7 years +
(Trix gets a bit down sometimes, but manages to help her new friend Pippa out...)
9/10

What The Spell? by Brittany Geragotelis
Young Adult
(Brooklyn had too little good in her for me to like her much, but some of her powers are cool...)
7/10

Drummer Girl by Bridget Tyler
Release Date:  May 2013
Young Adult
(A scary, compelling insight into the entertainment industry and the effect it can have on innocent and not so innocent teens...)
10/10

Reread

Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
Young Adult
(Lots of werewolf action for Bella as well as the usual, mostly entertaining teen angst...)
9/10

Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
Young Adult
(This time round I skipped parts I wasn't keen on, especially if it was Jacob's POV and he wasn't with Bella. Made the book more fun!)
8/10

Children's
(I cry every time I read this now with poor Polly getting so frustrated with life...)
10/10

Bunheads by Sophie Flack
Young Adult
(I love learning about the harsh reality of being a ballet dancer, as well as the purely magical moments...)
10/10

Children's, 9 years +
(This hilarious read gets funnier each time I read it. Tink is one very naughty girl! Pea puts up with a lot, and learns a lot too...)
10/10

Children's, 9 years +
(It's an emotional read watching Poppy struggle with ballet because of an at first unwanted new girl...)
10/10

Watched

Geijutsuka Art Design Class
Anime, Japanese
10/10
(I finished this fun series which reminds me of Azumanga Daioh, and teaches a lot about different art concepts while following two groups of entertaining students at school)

Shugo Chara!
Anime, Japanese version
10/10
(Rima has now revealed her comedy-loving self ["Bala-balansu!"], which means she's a bit more relaxed with Amu. I'm still getting to see lots of Utau, Iru & Eru!)

Encouragement of Climb
Anime, Japanese version
Simulcast (have to wait as episodes are released in Japan)
9/10
(The episodes are less than 15 minutes long, but are filled with entertainment as a few girls go hiking up hills & mountains...)

Charlotte Aux Fraises: Fraisi Paradis (Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Adventures)
Anime, French version
10/10
(The last episode I watched saw one of the girls get a little too into reading her favourite series, to the point where she neglected her friends!)

AKB0048
Anime, Japanese version
Season 1 & Season 2 (the latter is simulcast)
9/10
(More a teen anime, this is filled with battles, dancing, dreams, and friendship. Of course, it helps if you watch season 1 before season 2. In my defense, the way it was set up on Crunchyroll I started with what looked like the 1st series. No wonder I didn't understand what was going on! Will rewatch season 2 as soon as I finish season 1.)

Breaking Dawn Part 2
Film, English version
10/10
(Minus the romance scene in the cottage which I skipped, this is a perfect ending to the very true to the book series. Bella's a sparkly vampire!)

Winx Club Season 5
Anime, English version
10/10
(We're in the second half of the season and things are heating up! The girls are starting to learn more about Sirenix power - especially Stella!)

Mangirl # 11
Anime, Japanese version
Simulcast
10/10
(I'm sure some of the entertaining ways a manga publisher works is true to life [or stranger!] - 15 minute episodes [or less] are packed with hilarity and occasional mature content...)

Prisoners' Wives: Season 2
Drama, English version
10/10
(I'm thrilled this interesting series is back, using characters from the old one and bringing in a few new ones - it's a gripping watch!)

Care Bears Adventures in Care-A-Lot
Anime, English
9/10
(This is the version I watched when I was little, it still holds a lot of the charm, although once I've watched it I'll give it away as I prefer the newer version...)

H20 Just Add Water:  Season 3
REWATCH! - Drama, English version (on a German dvd!)
10/10
(Rewatching this ace mermaid series has me wanting a tail of my own!)

I haven't done a lot this week, but here are some pictures...
