Please don't panic, I haven't had my account hacked in to or anything.
The past two days I've had trouble locating emails from publicists in my email account. I tried searching for the original emails, but only ever got my reply.
I remember the other day I accidentally pressed 'delete all', thinking I was in my junk mail box, when I was actually in my inbox. I pressed cancel very quickly, so thought everything was still there.
I've just looked at my emails, which jump from 18th November 2010 to 30th May 2011.
Oops. Big oops.
The reason I'm posting about this, is that although I'm 95% sure I've noted down which books I'm reading for blog tours and when, if for whatever reason you don't hear from me concerning a book, it was probably an email that got lost in the Accidental Delete, so I'm very sorry for not responding.
I'm just glad it wasn't my entire inbox and outbox. At least I still have the emails I sent out.
Once again, apologies for any disruption caused - technology is a double-edged sword at times.
I have come so close to doing this! One thing that might help too is to look in your 'sent' box. I almost never empty that, and lots of folks are bad about remembering. In you think about it, most of your most important stuff will be in the Sent file, as you responded to someone's mail originally. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better!

I'd come close many times too - then I did it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip - that is how I figured out what happened, because when I searched for specific books, they were only in emails located in the sent box, instead of both sent & inbox.
Feeling under the weather so might be coming down with something :( But I have books and chocolate so I'm all good.
